[00:00:58] Mandela Effect Just Slapped Me Again by Luna Solshine. So my ex Robin and I still live together

[00:01:08] in a house that we bought, and mostly can't stand each other. She is hopelessly brainwashed and deeply

[00:01:15] programmed. I'm wide awake and I see things the way that they are. This, among other things, is the

[00:01:22] reason why we separated. The contrast of consciousness has pushed us into very different directions and our

[00:01:30] timelines just keep changing. The resulting effects of the repeated changes have really made me feel

[00:01:38] crazy. She doesn't remember certain things that she's said or done in my timeline, and some of the

[00:01:45] things that she's accused me of saying, I know without a doubt I've never said or done.

[00:01:52] The final straw was yesterday. I was in the kitchen doing dishes and Robin was talking to a friend of

[00:02:00] hers named Jenna about another friend of ours named Liz. Liz died really young from liver failure a few

[00:02:08] years ago. I was away when it happened, but I remember how deeply saddened I was when Robin called me and

[00:02:15] told me. Liz had a young boy that we absolutely adored, and I clearly recall, after hanging up the

[00:02:23] phone, that it occurred to me I had forgotten to ask about him and his situation since his mom was

[00:02:31] single and didn't really have any family. I was in utter shock, I guess. It was devastating.

[00:02:38] So there I am washing dishes when I hear Robin talking about friends of ours who were once drug addicts

[00:02:45] and alcoholics but turned their lives around, got amazing jobs, and had completely different lives

[00:02:51] now. Then she said to Jenna, remember my friend Liz with the little boy? She was a bad alcoholic and

[00:03:00] almost died but is sober now and works for an attorney downtown. I stopped breathing. I couldn't make sense

[00:03:09] of my thoughts at that moment. I walked out to the den and said, Liz passed away from liver failure.

[00:03:16] Robin said, no she didn't. She lives in another town and works for a lawyer. Why would you say that?

[00:03:24] I began to argue with her, but I knew right then it was pointless. This memory problem had been

[00:03:31] happening way too much for it to be categorized as a misunderstanding. This was the most extreme case

[00:03:38] of Mandela effect that I have experienced. Also, one of the best ones because my friend was dead and

[00:03:45] now she's not. I would love to hear from anyone who has experienced anything like this, and I'd like to

[00:03:51] know that I'm not alone in this or just completely insane. A Single Grave Cemetery by Kismet

[00:04:23] I've moved around my whole life, but a big chunk of my childhood was spent in the American Northeast,

[00:04:29] aka where Stephen King lives and where most of his stories take place. Living there you really start

[00:04:36] to understand why he writes the way he does. On foggy days when the mist rolled over the mountains,

[00:04:41] I'd jokingly tell people that I lived way too close to Stephen King to feel safe.

[00:04:48] New England has this unspoken rule. When you tell someone you've experienced something spooky,

[00:04:54] they just nod knowingly. Even the most skeptical people I've met would admit there's something

[00:05:00] otherworldly going on in the background here. The house I spent most of my teenage years in was a

[00:05:06] newer construction set deep in the woods, on what used to be the Old Albany Turnpike Carriage Trail.

[00:05:13] One of the nearby houses was the original 1700s Inn and Carriage House. When it eventually went up for

[00:05:21] sale, the listing boasted, Captain Dan Vining is buried right off the back porch.

[00:05:27] Only in New England could having a grave on your property be a selling point.

[00:05:32] It's now labeled a single grave cemetery, which while common for family plots in the area,

[00:05:37] is still a little odd. Even by New England standards.

[00:05:42] By the time we moved to Connecticut, I was already a strange kid.

[00:05:46] I'd convinced myself I'd seen UFOs in Arizona, spent a year in the deep south,

[00:05:52] tromping through the woods looking for cryptids.

[00:05:54] And I was absolutely certain the moment I set foot in her house in New England,

[00:05:59] that it was crawling with ghosts.

[00:06:02] Turns out I didn't have to wait long to be proven right.

[00:06:06] The house was set up a bit strangely.

[00:06:09] Downstairs was the kitchen, living room and dining room,

[00:06:12] and the bedrooms were upstairs.

[00:06:14] But off the main entry was a hall with a bathroom,

[00:06:18] a laundry room, the garage,

[00:06:20] and a staircase leading to a separate room above the garage.

[00:06:24] My bedroom.

[00:06:26] From the moment I moved in,

[00:06:28] I had issues with my door staying closed.

[00:06:31] I tried to brush it off as a foundation issue.

[00:06:34] You could roll a marble across the kitchen floor.

[00:06:37] But it was hard to keep telling myself that

[00:06:39] when the door opening was

[00:06:41] preceded by footsteps up my stairs

[00:06:43] and the sound of the knob turning.

[00:06:46] Turns out I wasn't the only one experiencing things.

[00:06:50] My mom would stay up late watching TV in the living room,

[00:06:54] which had an entertainment center

[00:06:55] with glass doors reflecting the hallway to the stairs.

[00:06:59] She told me that she would sometimes see

[00:07:01] a dark figure,

[00:07:03] its head brushing the ceiling,

[00:07:05] peeking around the corner before retreating.

[00:07:09] My mom's sister and I

[00:07:11] also heard singing around the house

[00:07:13] for months before we realized it wasn't one of us.

[00:07:17] We nicknamed her the Singing Lady.

[00:07:20] She was mostly benign,

[00:07:21] but one night,

[00:07:23] as I worked on my homework,

[00:07:24] she sang directly in my ear.

[00:07:27] I jumped so hard I smacked my head on the gable

[00:07:30] and nearly knocked myself out.

[00:07:33] I had a bruise for a week and was not amused.

[00:07:38] My stepfather, however,

[00:07:40] stayed blissfully ignorant.

[00:07:42] This was, after all,

[00:07:44] the same man who brushed off a soda can

[00:07:46] flying out of his hand

[00:07:47] and smashing against the wall

[00:07:49] in our haunted house in North Carolina.

[00:07:53] The basement had this entity that thrived on groups.

[00:07:56] During one birthday party,

[00:07:58] I had about 14 friends over.

[00:08:00] We were playing Never Have I Ever

[00:08:02] when a Mylar helium balloon

[00:08:05] suddenly sank to the floor

[00:08:06] and stayed there.

[00:08:09] Everyone noticed when it slowly rose back up

[00:08:12] as though someone was lifting it manually.

[00:08:15] The group looked at me in a panic.

[00:08:18] I just said,

[00:08:19] ignore it and it'll stop bothering us.

[00:08:22] After that,

[00:08:23] some friends refused to come back to my house.

[00:08:27] The entities weren't malicious, though.

[00:08:29] They were more like children

[00:08:31] trying to get attention.

[00:08:33] In one instance,

[00:08:34] they might have saved my baby sibling's life.

[00:08:37] My mom was preparing medication for them

[00:08:40] following dental surgery

[00:08:41] when the bottle tipped over

[00:08:43] and spilled before she could even pour it.

[00:08:46] Turns out the pharmacist

[00:08:48] had mixed the medication

[00:08:49] at 10 times the correct strength

[00:08:51] and taking even a small dose

[00:08:54] would have been lethal.

[00:08:56] The strangest incident, though,

[00:08:58] was when my phone disappeared.

[00:09:00] It was this pre-smartphone flip phone

[00:09:03] and I'd left it on the couch

[00:09:05] before going to the kitchen.

[00:09:07] When I came back,

[00:09:08] it was gone.

[00:09:10] I tore the house apart

[00:09:12] looking for it,

[00:09:13] calling it constantly.

[00:09:15] After a week,

[00:09:16] I gave up.

[00:09:18] But then,

[00:09:19] one day while stripping off my bedsheets,

[00:09:22] I found it tucked in the corner

[00:09:24] of the fitted sheet,

[00:09:26] somewhere I should have heard it ringing

[00:09:27] during my search.

[00:09:29] Even more bizarre,

[00:09:31] when I turned it on,

[00:09:32] the battery was fully charged

[00:09:34] and none of my calls or voicemails

[00:09:37] had registered.

[00:09:38] The final straw came

[00:09:40] when I recorded an EVP.

[00:09:42] I was experimenting,

[00:09:44] asking questions

[00:09:45] and cleaning up the audio

[00:09:46] to hear the responses.

[00:09:48] And on this one recording,

[00:09:50] I caught a very clear

[00:09:52] thank you,

[00:09:53] followed by my name

[00:09:55] being spoken.

[00:09:57] It freaked my mom out so badly

[00:09:59] she banned me

[00:10:00] from doing anything else

[00:10:01] that might stir up activity.

[00:10:04] These days,

[00:10:05] I live in an 1800s Victorian house

[00:10:08] that's been converted

[00:10:09] into apartments.

[00:10:10] I've got the attic floor,

[00:10:12] three black cats,

[00:10:14] and the unofficial title

[00:10:15] of Resident Witch.

[00:10:18] Aside from the occasional

[00:10:20] vanishing object,

[00:10:21] like the time a flower pot

[00:10:23] disappeared and never returned,

[00:10:24] it's been relatively peaceful.

[00:10:26] And thankfully,

[00:10:28] no one's buried

[00:10:29] off the back porch.

[00:10:30] If saving more

[00:10:56] and spending less

[00:10:57] is your top goal

[00:12:19] for details.

[00:12:25] I thought we only

[00:12:26] had one ghost

[00:12:27] by spider on the wall.

[00:12:30] For some context,

[00:12:31] I grew up in a

[00:12:32] rented house

[00:12:33] that had farmland.

[00:12:35] The owner of the land

[00:12:36] came often

[00:12:37] as he had a home

[00:12:38] on the property

[00:12:39] that he considered

[00:12:40] a sort of

[00:12:41] vacation home.

[00:12:42] He liked me

[00:12:43] and my sister

[00:12:44] and let us

[00:12:45] run around the property

[00:12:46] without any issues.

[00:12:47] He even let us

[00:12:48] into the barn

[00:12:49] as long as we

[00:12:50] didn't mess with anything.

[00:12:52] We went in

[00:12:53] and out of the barn

[00:12:54] from time to time

[00:12:55] playing hide-and-seek

[00:12:56] and such

[00:12:57] until we started

[00:12:58] hearing weird noises.

[00:13:01] My sister was

[00:13:02] fairly young

[00:13:03] and I was a

[00:13:04] jerk older sister

[00:13:05] who liked to scare her

[00:13:07] so I told her

[00:13:08] that there was a ghost.

[00:13:09] She pretty much

[00:13:10] refused to go

[00:13:11] into the barn

[00:13:12] after that

[00:13:13] at least for

[00:13:14] a few years.

[00:13:15] To be fair,

[00:13:17] I did think

[00:13:18] there was a ghost

[00:13:18] on the property.

[00:13:20] Sometimes weird

[00:13:21] things happened

[00:13:22] without explanation

[00:13:23] like our dog

[00:13:24] barking at nothing,

[00:13:26] the chickens

[00:13:26] getting spooked

[00:13:27] randomly,

[00:13:28] or doors opening

[00:13:30] and shutting

[00:13:30] on their own.

[00:13:32] Especially this

[00:13:33] one gate

[00:13:33] with a specific

[00:13:34] type of latch

[00:13:35] that most of my

[00:13:37] friends had a hard

[00:13:38] time figuring out

[00:13:39] when they came over.

[00:13:40] To say the least,

[00:13:42] it didn't just

[00:13:43] push open.

[00:13:45] My mom always

[00:13:46] called it

[00:13:47] angels and demons.

[00:13:48] She's pretty

[00:13:49] religious,

[00:13:50] so she refused

[00:13:51] to call it a ghost.

[00:13:52] I just called it

[00:13:54] our ghost.

[00:13:55] It was harmless,

[00:13:57] honestly,

[00:13:57] and didn't really

[00:13:58] mess with us

[00:13:59] in ways that

[00:14:00] seemed harmful.

[00:14:02] Sometimes,

[00:14:02] I even thought

[00:14:04] that it was

[00:14:04] looking out for us.

[00:14:06] We had cats

[00:14:07] that ran off

[00:14:07] from time to time

[00:14:08] but somehow

[00:14:09] always made

[00:14:10] their way back home.

[00:14:11] Once my dad's

[00:14:12] truck door slammed,

[00:14:14] making him jump.

[00:14:15] There was a rattlesnake

[00:14:17] under his car.

[00:14:18] This saved him

[00:14:19] from getting bitten.

[00:14:21] There was even a time

[00:14:23] that the fridge door

[00:14:23] opened while I was

[00:14:24] home alone,

[00:14:25] making me look out

[00:14:26] the window next to it

[00:14:28] and seeing an accident

[00:14:29] on the road

[00:14:30] near our house.

[00:14:32] This story

[00:14:33] isn't about

[00:14:34] that ghost,

[00:14:35] though.

[00:14:36] It's about one

[00:14:37] that I didn't

[00:14:38] know about

[00:14:39] until we did

[00:14:40] something dumb.

[00:14:42] One week,

[00:14:43] my cousins

[00:14:43] were visiting.

[00:14:44] They liked

[00:14:45] our property

[00:14:46] and I was

[00:14:47] really into

[00:14:48] the whole

[00:14:48] ghost hunting

[00:14:49] thing,

[00:14:49] so I told them

[00:14:51] that our barn

[00:14:51] was haunted.

[00:14:53] Being the kids

[00:14:54] that we were,

[00:14:54] my sister

[00:14:55] and my cousins

[00:14:55] and I

[00:14:56] all decided

[00:14:57] to take a

[00:14:58] ghost hunting trip

[00:14:59] to the barn

[00:15:00] at night.

[00:15:02] We snuck

[00:15:03] out of the house

[00:15:03] with some

[00:15:04] flashlights,

[00:15:05] my Polaroid

[00:15:06] camera,

[00:15:06] and my crappy

[00:15:07] old phone,

[00:15:08] then headed

[00:15:09] to the barn.

[00:15:11] My cousins

[00:15:11] were rambunctious

[00:15:12] to say the

[00:15:13] least.

[00:15:14] They both

[00:15:14] grew up

[00:15:15] in a household

[00:15:15] with very

[00:15:16] few rules

[00:15:17] of any

[00:15:17] kind,

[00:15:18] and they

[00:15:19] got away

[00:15:19] with a lot.

[00:15:21] So when I

[00:15:22] told them

[00:15:22] not to touch

[00:15:23] anything in

[00:15:23] the barn,

[00:15:24] they did

[00:15:25] not listen.

[00:15:26] As soon

[00:15:27] as we got

[00:15:28] inside,

[00:15:28] they were

[00:15:29] jumping on

[00:15:29] the hay

[00:15:30] and messing

[00:15:30] around on

[00:15:31] the old

[00:15:31] tractor.

[00:15:32] I tried my

[00:15:33] best to get

[00:15:34] them to

[00:15:34] stop,

[00:15:35] but they

[00:15:35] didn't

[00:15:35] listen,

[00:15:36] so I gave

[00:15:37] up fairly

[00:15:37] quickly.

[00:15:38] This was

[00:15:39] an older

[00:15:40] barn,

[00:15:40] but it

[00:15:41] had a

[00:15:41] second

[00:15:42] level

[00:15:42] where

[00:15:43] the

[00:15:43] hay

[00:15:43] used

[00:15:43] to

[00:15:43] be

[00:15:44] stored.

[00:15:44] But now

[00:15:45] it was

[00:15:46] basically

[00:15:46] an empty

[00:15:47] space.

[00:15:48] We headed

[00:15:49] up there

[00:15:49] and everyone

[00:15:50] sat down.

[00:15:51] I decided

[00:15:52] to attempt

[00:15:53] to talk

[00:15:53] to the

[00:15:54] ghost.

[00:15:54] I figured

[00:15:55] that it

[00:15:55] would be

[00:15:56] our

[00:15:56] harmless

[00:15:57] ghost

[00:15:57] that

[00:15:57] might

[00:15:58] shut

[00:15:58] a

[00:15:58] door

[00:15:58] or

[00:15:59] something,

[00:15:59] but

[00:16:00] that's

[00:16:01] not

[00:16:01] what

[00:16:01] happened.

[00:16:02] Nothing

[00:16:03] happened,

[00:16:04] actually.

[00:16:05] I tried

[00:16:06] to do

[00:16:06] the whole

[00:16:06] if there's

[00:16:07] anyone

[00:16:07] here

[00:16:08] besides

[00:16:08] us,

[00:16:09] let

[00:16:09] yourself

[00:16:09] be

[00:16:09] known,

[00:16:10] and there

[00:16:11] was

[00:16:11] nothing.

[00:16:12] The thing

[00:16:13] I didn't

[00:16:14] realize

[00:16:14] until later

[00:16:15] was that

[00:16:16] there was

[00:16:16] actually

[00:16:17] nothing,

[00:16:18] no noise

[00:16:19] from the

[00:16:19] road

[00:16:19] nearby,

[00:16:20] or any

[00:16:21] of the

[00:16:21] usual

[00:16:22] animal

[00:16:22] chatter.

[00:16:23] It

[00:16:24] was

[00:16:24] dead

[00:16:24] silent.

[00:16:26] I

[00:16:27] decided

[00:16:27] it was

[00:16:28] a bust

[00:16:28] and that

[00:16:29] we

[00:16:29] should

[00:16:29] head

[00:16:29] back

[00:16:30] to

[00:16:30] the

[00:16:30] house

[00:16:30] and

[00:16:30] go

[00:16:30] to

[00:16:31] sleep.

[00:16:32] My

[00:16:32] sister

[00:16:32] was

[00:16:33] still

[00:16:33] in

[00:16:33] grade

[00:16:33] school

[00:16:34] and

[00:16:34] looked

[00:16:34] pretty

[00:16:34] tired,

[00:16:35] so I

[00:16:36] started

[00:16:36] pushing

[00:16:36] everyone

[00:16:37] downstairs

[00:16:37] being the

[00:16:38] last one

[00:16:39] to leave

[00:16:39] the upper

[00:16:39] floor.

[00:16:41] That's

[00:16:41] when I

[00:16:42] felt a

[00:16:42] chill go up

[00:16:43] my spine.

[00:16:44] I had a

[00:16:45] really uneasy

[00:16:46] feeling,

[00:16:47] the feeling

[00:16:48] of being

[00:16:48] watched.

[00:16:49] I turned

[00:16:50] around,

[00:16:51] flashing my

[00:16:52] light into

[00:16:52] the darkness.

[00:16:54] Not seeing

[00:16:55] anything,

[00:16:55] I decided to

[00:16:56] snap a photo

[00:16:56] with my

[00:16:57] Polaroid

[00:16:57] because I

[00:16:58] thought that

[00:16:59] the dark

[00:17:00] room being

[00:17:00] illuminated by

[00:17:01] the flashlight

[00:17:01] looked kind

[00:17:02] creepy and

[00:17:03] cool.

[00:17:04] I was

[00:17:05] in middle

[00:17:05] school and

[00:17:06] I wanted

[00:17:06] to show

[00:17:07] off that

[00:17:07] I went

[00:17:07] into a

[00:17:08] scary place

[00:17:08] at night.

[00:17:10] It's

[00:17:10] silly,

[00:17:11] I know.

[00:17:12] I then

[00:17:13] walked down

[00:17:13] the stairs

[00:17:14] behind

[00:17:14] everyone,

[00:17:15] shaking

[00:17:16] the photo

[00:17:16] to let

[00:17:16] it develop.

[00:17:18] One of

[00:17:18] my cousins

[00:17:19] stopped at

[00:17:20] the bottom

[00:17:20] of the

[00:17:20] stairs,

[00:17:21] talking with

[00:17:22] everyone about

[00:17:23] a bug that

[00:17:23] she spotted

[00:17:24] on the

[00:17:24] wall or

[00:17:25] something.

[00:17:26] I looked

[00:17:27] at the

[00:17:27] photo and

[00:17:28] stopped in

[00:17:28] my tracks.

[00:17:30] Honestly,

[00:17:30] I wasn't

[00:17:31] sure if

[00:17:32] it would

[00:17:32] develop at

[00:17:33] all,

[00:17:34] but it

[00:17:34] did,

[00:17:35] and I

[00:17:36] saw a

[00:17:36] shadow in

[00:17:37] the corner

[00:17:37] that I

[00:17:38] hadn't seen

[00:17:38] before.

[00:17:39] It looked

[00:17:40] like two

[00:17:41] feet poking

[00:17:42] out in

[00:17:42] the darkness.

[00:17:44] I snapped

[00:17:45] out of it

[00:17:45] and told

[00:17:46] everyone to

[00:17:46] be quiet,

[00:17:47] then started

[00:17:48] pushing them

[00:17:48] out of the

[00:17:49] barn.

[00:17:50] They were

[00:17:50] asking me

[00:17:51] what was

[00:17:52] wrong when

[00:17:52] I told

[00:17:52] them to

[00:17:53] shut up.

[00:17:54] We all

[00:17:55] heard it,

[00:17:55] the sounds

[00:17:56] of footsteps

[00:17:57] above us.

[00:17:58] It sounded

[00:17:59] like boots

[00:17:59] hitting the

[00:18:00] wooden

[00:18:00] floors.

[00:18:02] Honestly,

[00:18:03] I think we

[00:18:03] were all

[00:18:04] too scared

[00:18:04] to move

[00:18:05] for a

[00:18:05] moment.

[00:18:06] That is,

[00:18:07] until the

[00:18:09] footsteps got

[00:18:09] faster and

[00:18:10] closer to

[00:18:11] the stairs.

[00:18:12] I shoved

[00:18:13] my cousins

[00:18:13] and picked

[00:18:14] up my

[00:18:14] sister,

[00:18:15] bolting out

[00:18:15] of the

[00:18:16] barn and

[00:18:16] slamming

[00:18:17] the door

[00:18:17] behind us,

[00:18:18] locking it.

[00:18:19] I heard

[00:18:20] a loud

[00:18:20] thud,

[00:18:21] and the

[00:18:21] door shook

[00:18:22] hard like

[00:18:23] someone was

[00:18:23] trying to

[00:18:24] shove it

[00:18:24] open.

[00:18:25] We all

[00:18:26] ran like

[00:18:26] hell.

[00:18:27] My sister

[00:18:28] went bawling

[00:18:29] to my

[00:18:29] dad,

[00:18:30] waking both

[00:18:31] of my

[00:18:31] parents up.

[00:18:32] My mom

[00:18:33] was upset,

[00:18:33] but my dad

[00:18:34] saw how shaken

[00:18:35] up we all

[00:18:35] were and

[00:18:37] shut my mom

[00:18:37] down,

[00:18:38] sending us

[00:18:38] off to bed.

[00:18:40] We were

[00:18:40] banned from

[00:18:41] going into

[00:18:42] the barn after

[00:18:42] that because

[00:18:43] my mom

[00:18:44] Moe thought

[00:18:44] that we

[00:18:44] played a

[00:18:45] trick to

[00:18:45] scare my

[00:18:46] little

[00:18:46] sister.

[00:18:47] mother.

[00:18:48] Even

[00:18:48] even though

[00:18:48] I tried

[00:18:49] to tell

[00:18:49] them

[00:18:49] that it

[00:18:49] wasn't

[00:18:50] a trick,

[00:18:51] my mom

[00:18:51] wasn't

[00:18:52] having it.

[00:18:53] In all

[00:18:53] honesty,

[00:18:54] I never

[00:18:54] wanted to

[00:18:55] go back

[00:18:55] into that

[00:18:56] barn.

[00:18:57] Whatever

[00:18:57] was in

[00:18:58] there,

[00:18:59] it didn't

[00:19:00] like guests

[00:19:00] touching all

[00:19:01] of its

[00:19:01] stuff,

[00:19:02] and it

[00:19:03] was clear

[00:19:03] that we

[00:19:03] were no

[00:19:04] longer

[00:19:04] welcome.

[00:19:05] Honestly,

[00:19:06] I don't

[00:19:06] have any

[00:19:07] idea what

[00:19:08] I encountered,

[00:19:08] but I know

[00:19:09] that there

[00:19:10] is something

[00:19:10] else on

[00:19:11] that farm,

[00:19:11] and it's

[00:19:12] evil.

[00:19:12] I don't

[00:19:14] know why,

[00:19:15] I just

[00:19:16] had this

[00:19:16] feeling that

[00:19:17] if I ever

[00:19:18] stepped foot

[00:19:18] in there

[00:19:19] again,

[00:19:19] I would

[00:19:20] end up

[00:19:21] hurt or

[00:19:21] worse.

[00:19:22] I took

[00:19:23] my senior

[00:19:24] photos outside

[00:19:24] of the

[00:19:25] barn,

[00:19:25] and even

[00:19:26] that felt

[00:19:27] like being

[00:19:28] too close.

[00:19:46] Grandma

[00:19:46] Under the

[00:19:47] Stairs

[00:19:47] by Kara

[00:19:50] My grandma

[00:19:51] passed away

[00:19:52] in the early

[00:19:52] 90s.

[00:19:53] She had

[00:19:54] three daughters,

[00:19:55] my mom

[00:19:55] and her

[00:19:56] two sisters.

[00:19:57] My aunt

[00:19:58] loves doing

[00:19:59] embroidery,

[00:20:00] and was

[00:20:00] at a big

[00:20:01] embroidery

[00:20:01] group shop

[00:20:02] with a ton

[00:20:03] of people,

[00:20:04] some who

[00:20:04] she knew

[00:20:05] and some

[00:20:06] who she

[00:20:06] didn't.

[00:20:07] She was

[00:20:08] sitting on

[00:20:08] a couch

[00:20:09] when a

[00:20:10] woman she

[00:20:10] had never

[00:20:11] met before

[00:20:11] walked over

[00:20:12] to her

[00:20:13] and put

[00:20:13] her hand

[00:20:14] on her

[00:20:14] shoulder.

[00:20:15] She just

[00:20:16] stood there

[00:20:17] with her

[00:20:17] eyes closed

[00:20:18] for a few

[00:20:18] moments.

[00:20:20] She then

[00:20:21] looked at

[00:20:21] my aunt

[00:20:22] and said,

[00:20:22] your mother

[00:20:23] wants me

[00:20:24] to tell you

[00:20:24] that she

[00:20:25] loved

[00:20:26] living under

[00:20:26] the stairs.

[00:20:29] My aunt,

[00:20:30] very confused,

[00:20:31] didn't know

[00:20:32] what to

[00:20:32] say or

[00:20:32] think.

[00:20:34] Fast forward

[00:20:35] a week

[00:20:36] or two,

[00:20:36] and my

[00:20:37] aunt asked

[00:20:38] my mom

[00:20:38] where she

[00:20:38] kept my

[00:20:39] grandmother's

[00:20:40] ashes.

[00:20:41] My mom

[00:20:42] held on

[00:20:42] to them

[00:20:43] for years

[00:20:43] before

[00:20:44] taking them

[00:20:44] to a

[00:20:45] permanent

[00:20:45] spot

[00:20:46] on a

[00:20:46] wall

[00:20:46] in a

[00:20:46] cemetery.

[00:20:48] My mom

[00:20:49] told my

[00:20:49] aunt,

[00:20:50] in the

[00:20:51] bar,

[00:20:52] my aunt

[00:20:53] couldn't

[00:20:57] under

[00:20:58] the

[00:20:58] stairs.

[00:20:59] I wonder

[00:21:00] why,

[00:21:01] of all

[00:21:01] messages

[00:21:02] to pass

[00:21:02] along,

[00:21:03] it was

[00:21:03] that.

[00:21:05] The story

[00:21:05] did make

[00:21:06] me laugh

[00:21:06] and feel

[00:21:07] good,

[00:21:07] knowing we're

[00:21:08] connected

[00:21:09] with our

[00:21:09] loved ones

[00:21:10] long after

[00:21:11] they're

[00:21:11] gone.

[00:21:31] It's a

[00:21:32] new year.

[00:21:32] We've all

[00:21:33] been there,

[00:21:34] setting big

[00:21:34] goals and

[00:21:35] making those

[00:21:35] resolutions.

[00:21:36] Last year,

[00:21:37] my resolution

[00:21:37] was to go

[00:21:38] to the gym

[00:21:38] every week.

[00:21:40] I went

[00:21:40] maybe once

[00:21:41] a month.

[00:21:42] Life happens

[00:21:43] and things

[00:21:43] slip away.

[00:21:44] But what

[00:21:45] if keeping

[00:21:45] one resolution

[00:21:46] was automatic?

[00:21:47] Well,

[00:21:48] let me tell

[00:21:48] you about

[00:21:48] Acorns.

[00:21:49] Today's

[00:21:50] episode is

[00:21:50] sponsored by

[00:21:51] Acorns.

[00:21:52] Acorns makes

[00:21:52] it easy to

[00:21:53] start automatically

[00:21:54] saving and

[00:21:55] investing so

[00:21:55] your money

[00:21:56] has a chance

[00:21:57] to grow for

[00:21:57] you,

[00:21:58] your kids,

[00:21:59] and your

[00:21:59] retirement.

[00:22:00] You don't

[00:22:01] need to be

[00:22:01] an expert.

[00:22:02] Acorns will

[00:22:03] recommend a

[00:22:04] diversified

[00:22:04] portfolio that

[00:22:05] fits you and

[00:22:06] your money

[00:22:06] goals.

[00:22:07] You don't

[00:22:07] need to be

[00:22:08] rich.

[00:22:09] Acorns lets

[00:22:09] you invest

[00:22:10] with spare

[00:22:10] money that

[00:22:11] you've got

[00:22:11] right now.

[00:22:12] You can

[00:22:13] start with

[00:22:13] just five

[00:22:14] bucks or

[00:22:15] even just

[00:22:16] your spare

[00:22:16] change.

[00:22:17] Basically,

[00:22:18] Acorns does

[00:22:19] the hard

[00:22:20] part so you

[00:22:20] can give

[00:22:21] your money

[00:22:21] a chance

[00:22:22] to grow.

[00:22:23] For me,

[00:22:24] Acorns has

[00:22:24] been awesome

[00:22:25] because I'm

[00:22:26] not a finance

[00:22:26] guru,

[00:22:27] but I love

[00:22:27] knowing that

[00:22:28] every small

[00:22:29] step I take

[00:22:30] today can

[00:22:30] grow into

[00:22:31] something

[00:22:31] meaningful in

[00:23:04] Loud vibrational

[00:23:06] noise in

[00:23:06] Pisgah Forest

[00:23:07] by Dents

[00:23:08] AD

[00:23:09] 4239.

[00:23:10] A while

[00:23:12] back,

[00:23:13] my girlfriend,

[00:23:14] another couple

[00:23:15] and I,

[00:23:15] spent a day

[00:23:16] at the beach

[00:23:17] along the

[00:23:18] Davidson River

[00:23:19] and had a

[00:23:20] very odd

[00:23:21] experience.

[00:23:23] We found

[00:23:24] this spot

[00:23:24] the day

[00:23:25] before

[00:23:25] and the

[00:23:26] three of us

[00:23:26] spent the

[00:23:27] day chilling.

[00:23:28] One friend

[00:23:29] went upriver

[00:23:30] about 500

[00:23:31] yards around

[00:23:32] the bend

[00:23:33] and came

[00:23:34] back stating

[00:23:35] that he

[00:23:35] had heard

[00:23:36] a weird

[00:23:36] noise.

[00:23:38] We disregarded

[00:23:39] it and

[00:23:40] continued on

[00:23:40] with the

[00:23:41] day,

[00:23:42] leaving

[00:23:42] without

[00:23:42] incident.

[00:23:44] Upon our

[00:23:44] return the

[00:23:45] next day,

[00:23:46] it was

[00:23:47] surprisingly

[00:23:47] crowded.

[00:23:49] At about

[00:23:49] 3pm,

[00:23:50] the place

[00:23:51] emptied out

[00:23:52] and we

[00:23:52] were alone

[00:23:53] until maybe

[00:23:54] 5pm.

[00:23:55] We all

[00:23:56] began to

[00:23:56] pack the

[00:23:57] car,

[00:23:57] which was

[00:23:58] maybe 50

[00:23:58] yards away,

[00:23:59] and the

[00:24:00] friend who

[00:24:01] heard the

[00:24:01] noise and

[00:24:02] I returned

[00:24:03] to the

[00:24:04] beach for

[00:24:05] two items.

[00:24:06] We had

[00:24:07] been skipping

[00:24:07] rocks all

[00:24:08] day with

[00:24:09] complete

[00:24:09] failure,

[00:24:10] and we

[00:24:11] decided to

[00:24:11] throw a

[00:24:12] couple more

[00:24:12] before we

[00:24:13] left.

[00:24:13] We threw

[00:24:14] maybe two

[00:24:15] rocks,

[00:24:16] when all

[00:24:17] of a sudden,

[00:24:18] my friend

[00:24:18] skipped his

[00:24:19] rock easily

[00:24:20] about 40

[00:24:21] yards,

[00:24:21] hitting the

[00:24:22] water maybe

[00:24:23] 50 times.

[00:24:25] Before we

[00:24:25] could even

[00:24:26] react,

[00:24:27] this extremely

[00:24:28] loud vibrational

[00:24:30] noise started.

[00:24:31] The best I

[00:24:32] can describe it

[00:24:33] is that it

[00:24:34] sounded like

[00:24:35] the buzzing

[00:24:36] of a guitar

[00:24:36] amp that

[00:24:37] isn't fully

[00:24:38] plugged in.

[00:24:39] It was so

[00:24:40] loud, you

[00:24:41] could feel it

[00:24:42] in your chest

[00:24:42] as it got

[00:24:43] closer, like

[00:24:44] a helicopter

[00:24:45] or something

[00:24:45] was about to

[00:24:46] fly over the

[00:24:47] riverbank.

[00:24:48] Just as it

[00:24:49] felt like it

[00:24:50] was going to

[00:24:50] turn into our

[00:24:51] line of

[00:24:51] visibility, it

[00:24:52] kept going and

[00:24:53] seemed to pass

[00:24:54] over where the

[00:24:55] car was, heading

[00:24:56] upward toward

[00:24:57] the mountain.

[00:24:59] The noise

[00:25:00] abruptly stopped,

[00:25:01] and we both

[00:25:02] looked at each

[00:25:03] other.

[00:25:04] We thought,

[00:25:05] what was

[00:25:05] that?

[00:25:06] My friend

[00:25:07] turned to me

[00:25:07] and said,

[00:25:08] that was

[00:25:08] weird, but

[00:25:09] it's going to

[00:25:10] be even

[00:25:10] weirder if

[00:25:11] the girls

[00:25:11] didn't hear

[00:25:12] it.

[00:25:14] We returned

[00:25:15] to the car,

[00:25:15] and both of

[00:25:16] them were

[00:25:17] sitting inside,

[00:25:18] pissed off,

[00:25:19] asking why we

[00:25:19] had taken so

[00:25:20] long.

[00:25:21] When we

[00:25:22] asked if they

[00:25:22] had heard the

[00:25:23] noise, they

[00:25:24] said they

[00:25:24] hadn't heard a

[00:25:25] thing.

[00:25:26] We then asked

[00:25:27] them how long

[00:25:27] they thought

[00:25:28] that we had

[00:25:29] been gone.

[00:25:29] They said no

[00:25:30] less than 45

[00:25:31] minutes.

[00:25:32] I'd say we

[00:25:33] were gone no

[00:25:34] more than 5 to

[00:25:35] 7 minutes at

[00:25:36] the most.

[00:25:37] I've spent no

[00:25:38] less than 40

[00:25:39] days at this

[00:25:40] river spot, and

[00:25:41] have never had

[00:25:42] anything else

[00:25:42] happen, nor

[00:25:44] have I heard

[00:25:45] anyone else

[00:25:46] experiencing

[00:25:46] something similar.

[00:26:07] Haunted Mine

[00:26:08] by Jamie.

[00:26:11] I've always

[00:26:12] been skeptical

[00:26:12] when it comes

[00:26:13] to the

[00:26:13] paranormal, but

[00:26:15] not in a

[00:26:15] dismissive way.

[00:26:16] More like I

[00:26:17] never thought it

[00:26:18] would happen to

[00:26:18] me.

[00:26:19] Then I went

[00:26:20] camping in the

[00:26:21] Gifford Pinchot

[00:26:22] National Park

[00:26:23] located in

[00:26:24] Washington.

[00:26:25] Some friends

[00:26:26] and I were

[00:26:27] near this old

[00:26:27] abandoned mine

[00:26:29] out in the

[00:26:29] woods.

[00:26:30] We heard

[00:26:31] stories about

[00:26:31] it being

[00:26:32] haunted, but

[00:26:33] nobody in

[00:26:33] the group

[00:26:34] really took

[00:26:34] it seriously.

[00:26:36] We just

[00:26:36] wanted a

[00:26:37] place to

[00:26:37] hang out

[00:26:38] and explore,

[00:26:39] nothing more.

[00:26:39] Well, maybe

[00:26:41] some party

[00:26:41] favors, but

[00:26:42] nothing crazy.

[00:26:44] We arrived

[00:26:45] late in the

[00:26:45] afternoon, set

[00:26:47] up our tents,

[00:26:47] and spent a

[00:26:48] while walking

[00:26:49] around.

[00:26:50] The place

[00:26:51] was eerie, but

[00:26:52] fascinating.

[00:26:53] We kept

[00:26:54] joking around,

[00:26:55] trying to

[00:26:56] one-up each

[00:26:56] other with

[00:26:57] spooky what-ifs.

[00:26:59] But once

[00:27:00] the sun

[00:27:00] set, the

[00:27:01] vibe completely

[00:27:02] changed.

[00:27:03] It wasn't

[00:27:04] just the

[00:27:05] darkness,

[00:27:05] though.

[00:27:06] Best way I

[00:27:07] can explain

[00:27:07] it is that

[00:27:08] there was

[00:27:09] something

[00:27:09] heavy in

[00:27:10] the air,

[00:27:11] like the

[00:27:12] woods had

[00:27:13] gone silent

[00:27:13] and we

[00:27:14] were being

[00:27:14] watched.

[00:27:17] That night

[00:27:17] after dinner

[00:27:18] around the

[00:27:19] fire, we

[00:27:20] started talking

[00:27:20] about the

[00:27:21] rumors of

[00:27:22] the mine

[00:27:22] we were

[00:27:22] near.

[00:27:25] Supposedly a

[00:27:25] woman had

[00:27:26] been murdered

[00:27:26] there decades

[00:27:27] ago.

[00:27:28] People claimed

[00:27:29] her ghost

[00:27:30] still wandered

[00:27:30] the area.

[00:27:32] We laughed

[00:27:32] about it at

[00:27:33] first, but

[00:27:34] the jokes

[00:27:35] started to

[00:27:35] feel forced,

[00:27:36] like none

[00:27:37] of us wanted

[00:27:38] to admit

[00:27:38] how uneasy

[00:27:39] we actually

[00:27:40] were.

[00:27:42] I remember

[00:27:43] hearing something

[00:27:43] rustling in

[00:27:44] the trees,

[00:27:45] but when I

[00:27:46] pointed it

[00:27:46] out, everyone

[00:27:47] shrugged it

[00:27:48] off as an

[00:27:48] animal.

[00:27:50] When it

[00:27:50] got late, we

[00:27:51] crawled into

[00:27:52] our tents.

[00:27:53] I was sharing

[00:27:54] mine with my

[00:27:54] friend Sarah.

[00:27:56] We tried to

[00:27:57] fall asleep,

[00:27:58] but I couldn't

[00:27:59] stop thinking

[00:27:59] about that

[00:28:00] mine.

[00:28:01] I kept

[00:28:02] hearing faint

[00:28:03] sounds, like

[00:28:04] footsteps crunching

[00:28:05] on sticks, or

[00:28:07] soft whispers

[00:28:08] carried by the

[00:28:08] wind.

[00:28:10] I told myself

[00:28:11] it was just my

[00:28:12] imagination, but

[00:28:13] I couldn't

[00:28:14] shake the

[00:28:14] feeling that

[00:28:15] something was

[00:28:16] moving outside.

[00:28:18] Sarah heard

[00:28:19] it too.

[00:28:20] She whispered,

[00:28:21] Do you think

[00:28:22] someone's out

[00:28:23] there?

[00:28:24] And I could

[00:28:25] hear the fear

[00:28:25] in her voice.

[00:28:27] At one point,

[00:28:28] I couldn't

[00:28:29] take it

[00:28:29] anymore.

[00:28:30] I grabbed

[00:28:31] my flashlight

[00:28:32] and stepped

[00:28:33] outside, heart

[00:28:34] pounding.

[00:28:35] It was pitch

[00:28:36] black, except

[00:28:38] for the fire

[00:28:38] that was

[00:28:39] basically out.

[00:28:40] I scanned

[00:28:42] the clearing

[00:28:42] and saw

[00:28:43] nothing, until

[00:28:45] I noticed

[00:28:45] something at

[00:28:46] the edge of

[00:28:47] the woods.

[00:28:48] It looked

[00:28:49] like a tall

[00:28:50] figure, tall

[00:28:51] and pale,

[00:28:53] standing just

[00:28:54] far enough

[00:28:55] away that I

[00:28:55] couldn't make

[00:28:56] out any

[00:28:56] details.

[00:28:58] My breath

[00:28:59] caught in

[00:28:59] my throat,

[00:29:01] it didn't

[00:29:02] move, just

[00:29:03] stood there,

[00:29:04] watching.

[00:29:06] I wanted to

[00:29:07] call out, but

[00:29:08] for the life

[00:29:09] of me, just

[00:29:10] couldn't speak.

[00:29:11] I backed up

[00:29:12] toward the

[00:29:13] tent, and

[00:29:14] when I looked

[00:29:14] again, it

[00:29:15] was gone.

[00:29:17] I told myself

[00:29:18] it must have

[00:29:18] been a trick

[00:29:19] of the light,

[00:29:20] maybe a tree

[00:29:21] or some weird

[00:29:22] shadow, but

[00:29:23] my gut told

[00:29:25] me otherwise.

[00:29:25] surprise.

[00:29:26] I didn't

[00:29:27] tell Sarah, I

[00:29:28] just climbed

[00:29:29] back into the

[00:29:29] tent and

[00:29:30] tried to

[00:29:30] sleep, but

[00:29:32] every sound

[00:29:33] felt like it

[00:29:33] was right next

[00:29:34] to us.

[00:29:37] The next

[00:29:37] morning, I

[00:29:38] told the

[00:29:38] group what I

[00:29:39] had seen,

[00:29:40] half expecting

[00:29:41] them to tease

[00:29:41] me, but to

[00:29:43] my surprise,

[00:29:44] our friend

[00:29:45] Mark admitted

[00:29:46] that he had

[00:29:46] seen something

[00:29:47] too.

[00:29:48] He said

[00:29:49] when he

[00:29:49] got up to

[00:29:50] use the

[00:29:50] bathroom in

[00:29:51] the middle

[00:29:51] of the

[00:29:51] night, he

[00:29:52] saw a white

[00:29:53] figure darting

[00:29:55] between the

[00:29:55] trees near the

[00:29:56] mine entrance.

[00:29:58] That's when

[00:29:59] Sarah chimed

[00:30:00] in, saying

[00:30:01] she thought

[00:30:02] she heard

[00:30:02] crying during

[00:30:03] the night, but

[00:30:04] convinced herself

[00:30:05] it was an

[00:30:06] animal.

[00:30:07] We decided

[00:30:08] to cut the

[00:30:09] trip short and

[00:30:10] packed up our

[00:30:10] things.

[00:30:12] We were all

[00:30:13] on edge, but

[00:30:14] still pretty

[00:30:14] calm and

[00:30:15] composed, all

[00:30:17] things considering.

[00:30:19] As we were

[00:30:20] leaving, I

[00:30:21] glanced back at

[00:30:21] the mine one

[00:30:22] last time, and

[00:30:24] I swear I saw

[00:30:25] something, or

[00:30:27] someone, standing

[00:30:28] in the shadows

[00:30:29] near the

[00:30:30] entrance.

[00:30:31] It was your

[00:30:32] typical silhouette

[00:30:33] of a human, or

[00:30:35] whatever else might

[00:30:36] stand upright on

[00:30:37] two legs.

[00:30:38] It could have

[00:30:39] been my

[00:30:39] imagination, but

[00:30:41] I was still

[00:30:42] beyond scared and

[00:30:43] ready to leave

[00:30:43] at that point.

[00:30:45] What really

[00:30:46] unsettled me

[00:30:47] though, was a

[00:30:48] conversation I

[00:30:49] had with Sarah

[00:30:50] not long after.

[00:30:52] She said she

[00:30:53] kept having

[00:30:54] nightmares about

[00:30:54] that night, about

[00:30:56] a woman in

[00:30:57] white staring at

[00:30:58] her from the

[00:30:59] woods, whispering

[00:31:00] her name.

[00:31:03] I still don't

[00:31:04] know what we

[00:31:04] encountered out

[00:31:05] there.

[00:31:06] Maybe it was

[00:31:07] nothing, just our

[00:31:08] imaginations running

[00:31:09] wild.

[00:31:11] But I can't

[00:31:12] explain the figure

[00:31:13] I saw, or why

[00:31:14] we all had such

[00:31:15] strong feeling

[00:31:16] of being

[00:31:17] watched.

[00:31:19] To this

[00:31:19] day, the

[00:31:20] thought of that

[00:31:21] forest sends

[00:31:22] shivers down

[00:31:23] my spine.

[00:31:24] I've had other

[00:31:25] strange experiences

[00:31:26] since then, but

[00:31:28] nothing quite like

[00:31:29] that night.

[00:31:53] Something Found

[00:31:54] Me in Maine by

[00:31:55] Aromatic Industry

[00:31:56] 401.

[00:31:59] Back in 2010, I

[00:32:01] was driving around

[00:32:02] looking for a

[00:32:03] place to bird

[00:32:04] hunt.

[00:32:04] I finally

[00:32:05] stopped at a

[00:32:06] piece of town

[00:32:07] owned property

[00:32:08] that I had only

[00:32:09] gone to once

[00:32:10] before, and that

[00:32:11] was to fish for

[00:32:12] trout in a brook

[00:32:13] about a mile in.

[00:32:15] After parking, I

[00:32:17] started down the

[00:32:18] old tote road that

[00:32:19] split the property

[00:32:20] for its entire

[00:32:21] length.

[00:32:22] The day was very

[00:32:23] nice and nothing

[00:32:24] seemed unusual.

[00:32:26] I followed the

[00:32:27] road until I got to

[00:32:28] the far side of an

[00:32:29] old wood yard that

[00:32:31] abutted the stream.

[00:32:33] That's when it

[00:32:34] got quiet.

[00:32:36] The opening was

[00:32:37] probably twenty

[00:32:38] yards across, with

[00:32:40] the brook hidden

[00:32:41] behind some alders

[00:32:42] on the other

[00:32:43] side.

[00:32:44] I sensed it

[00:32:45] before I heard it.

[00:32:47] Something told me

[00:32:48] not to go across

[00:32:49] that clearing into

[00:32:50] the stream.

[00:32:52] I have spent a

[00:32:53] lifetime in the

[00:32:54] woods, and I

[00:32:55] have only had that

[00:32:57] feeling a few

[00:32:58] times.

[00:33:00] The first sound

[00:33:01] that I heard was

[00:33:02] heavy footsteps,

[00:33:03] very deliberate and

[00:33:04] slow.

[00:33:05] I couldn't see what

[00:33:07] was making this

[00:33:07] sound, and for no

[00:33:09] reason, I was

[00:33:10] scared.

[00:33:11] I felt fear.

[00:33:13] I knew that I did

[00:33:14] not want to see what

[00:33:16] was approaching me.

[00:33:17] I stopped at the

[00:33:18] brook and heard it

[00:33:19] cross and walk to

[00:33:20] the edge of the

[00:33:21] alders, then stop.

[00:33:23] All I had was a

[00:33:24] single-shot twenty

[00:33:25] gauge with birdshot.

[00:33:28] I had a feeling of

[00:33:29] danger.

[00:33:31] It moved on the

[00:33:32] side of the alders

[00:33:33] to my left, a few

[00:33:35] yards at a time.

[00:33:36] The only glimpse

[00:33:38] that I caught was a

[00:33:39] dark, narrow figure,

[00:33:41] very tall, at least

[00:33:42] seven feet.

[00:33:43] Not knowing what

[00:33:44] else to do, I

[00:33:45] pointed my shotgun

[00:33:46] into the air and

[00:33:48] touched off a

[00:33:49] shot.

[00:33:50] But it just stayed

[00:33:51] where it was.

[00:33:53] I shouted, but it

[00:33:55] didn't move.

[00:33:57] That little voice

[00:33:58] told me to go.

[00:33:59] Don't run, but go.

[00:34:02] As I backed up, the

[00:34:03] alders, where I last

[00:34:05] heard it move, parted

[00:34:07] as if it was getting a

[00:34:08] better look.

[00:34:10] Whatever it was stayed

[00:34:12] right there, as if to

[00:34:14] let me know that it

[00:34:14] saw me and that I

[00:34:16] should go no further.

[00:34:19] That mile walk back to

[00:34:20] my truck felt as if I

[00:34:22] were walking through a

[00:34:23] cemetery at night,

[00:34:24] night, always turning

[00:34:26] around and looking

[00:34:27] everywhere.

[00:34:28] This encounter has

[00:34:30] played over and over

[00:34:31] in my mind, and I

[00:34:32] don't know what it

[00:34:34] was.

[00:34:35] I've never gone back,

[00:34:37] only because something

[00:34:38] inside me says it

[00:34:39] would not end well.

[00:34:42] Fourteen years later,

[00:34:43] and it still scares me.

[00:34:46] Anyway, that's my

[00:34:48] encounter, and I've

[00:34:48] never told anyone

[00:34:50] until now.

[00:35:16] So I rarely go back

[00:35:17] and listen to episodes,

[00:35:18] but sometimes people

[00:35:20] reach out and give

[00:35:21] their two cents about a

[00:35:22] story, or sometimes

[00:35:23] we'll get attention

[00:35:24] drawn to it on Patreon

[00:35:26] or our Discord server.

[00:35:27] Yeah, and if more than

[00:35:29] 24 hours have passed,

[00:35:31] you've got to reread or

[00:35:32] listen to fully remember

[00:35:34] what happened in these

[00:35:35] stories.

[00:35:35] Yeah, exactly.

[00:35:37] Yeah, yeah.

[00:35:38] So what story came up?

[00:35:39] One I narrated in

[00:35:40] episode 154, called

[00:35:43] I Ran Into Myself in

[00:35:44] the Future, Then in the

[00:35:46] Past, not the most

[00:35:47] concise story title.

[00:35:48] Yeah, and it's funny

[00:35:49] because you bring that

[00:35:50] up, and just from the

[00:35:51] title, I have no idea

[00:35:52] what story it was.

[00:35:54] Exactly, yeah, case in

[00:35:55] point.

[00:35:55] This was like back in

[00:35:56] November.

[00:35:57] Okay.

[00:35:57] But yeah, only a couple

[00:35:58] of people have brought it

[00:35:59] up, but I figured it

[00:36:00] doesn't really hurt to

[00:36:01] revisit stories that we've

[00:36:02] talked about before.

[00:36:04] And I'm actually kind of

[00:36:05] surprised that we hadn't

[00:36:06] talked about it.

[00:36:07] It's run up our alley.

[00:36:08] Yeah, and I guess you're

[00:36:10] going to have to catch me

[00:36:11] up on it, and some of the

[00:36:12] listeners, I'm sure, too.

[00:36:14] Yeah, true, true.

[00:36:16] Basically, some guy runs

[00:36:17] into a strange older guy

[00:36:19] when he's out jogging.

[00:36:20] Then he joins the army,

[00:36:21] and however many years

[00:36:23] later, comes back home and

[00:36:24] walks his usual jogging

[00:36:26] trail.

[00:36:26] Oh, yeah, yeah.

[00:36:27] And then he bumps into,

[00:36:28] like, his younger self,

[00:36:30] right?

[00:36:30] Exactly.

[00:36:32] Okay, yeah, I remember

[00:36:33] it now.

[00:36:33] It was like some weird

[00:36:35] doppelganger time loop.

[00:36:37] And yeah, you're right.

[00:36:37] I'm surprised that we

[00:36:38] didn't talk about it.

[00:36:40] Yeah, it was a cool one.

[00:36:41] Just imagine running up

[00:36:43] to yourself, literally,

[00:36:44] and then doing it again

[00:36:46] however many years later.

[00:36:48] Not just seeing your

[00:36:49] younger self, but reliving

[00:36:51] the exact moment you ran

[00:36:52] into your future self as a

[00:36:54] teenager.

[00:36:54] Yeah, see, I'm already

[00:36:55] confusing myself just

[00:36:56] saying that out loud.

[00:36:58] I mean, well, it's one

[00:36:59] thing to think about time

[00:37:01] travel in, like, the

[00:37:02] sci-fi sense, but to

[00:37:04] actually experience

[00:37:05] something like that

[00:37:06] firsthand is crazy.

[00:37:07] Yeah.

[00:37:08] And it's not like he

[00:37:09] passed his younger self

[00:37:10] on the street.

[00:37:12] From what I remember,

[00:37:13] the way that the

[00:37:13] encounter played out,

[00:37:14] you know, down to the

[00:37:16] dialogue, it was so

[00:37:17] precise.

[00:37:18] Yeah.

[00:37:19] It was almost like the

[00:37:20] universe was scripting

[00:37:21] that moment.

[00:37:22] Yeah, yeah, for sure.

[00:37:23] It seemed like some

[00:37:25] sort of closed time

[00:37:26] loop.

[00:37:27] You can't really change

[00:37:28] the past or the

[00:37:28] future.

[00:37:29] They're all connected

[00:37:29] somehow, but the fact

[00:37:31] he just bumps into

[00:37:32] his future self, his

[00:37:34] older future self as a

[00:37:35] kid, all stunned and

[00:37:36] speechless, then you

[00:37:38] years later, completes

[00:37:39] the loop, I guess you

[00:37:40] could say, by meeting

[00:37:41] his younger self.

[00:37:42] At least that's how I'm

[00:37:43] establishing this closed

[00:37:45] time loop thing in my

[00:37:45] head.

[00:37:46] It's pretty crazy, like

[00:37:47] you were saying.

[00:37:48] Yeah, yeah.

[00:37:49] I'm really hoping a

[00:37:51] very talented director

[00:37:52] is listening to this

[00:37:53] episode and contacting

[00:37:54] the author from that

[00:37:55] episode because this is

[00:37:57] definitely a movie I

[00:37:58] would watch.

[00:37:59] It's just, I don't

[00:38:00] know, it's one of my

[00:38:00] favorite topics that

[00:38:01] it's covered in

[00:38:02] films.

[00:38:03] Oh, yeah.

[00:38:03] Some of the best

[00:38:04] stories have to do with

[00:38:05] time travel or time

[00:38:06] loops.

[00:38:07] Donnie Darko,

[00:38:08] Looper.

[00:38:09] Edge of Tomorrow,

[00:38:10] Butterfly Effect.

[00:38:12] Yeah, yeah, the list

[00:38:13] goes on and on.

[00:38:14] I could go on

[00:38:14] forever, baby.

[00:38:17] Perfect, perfect.

[00:38:18] We finally got that

[00:38:19] natural reference in

[00:38:21] the show three years

[00:38:22] later.

[00:38:23] Oh, man.

[00:38:24] Yeah.

[00:38:25] I remember this one

[00:38:26] movie that came out

[00:38:27] when we were kids where

[00:38:28] you could freeze time or

[00:38:30] slow it down super slow.

[00:38:32] It wasn't quite

[00:38:33] freezing it.

[00:38:34] I know exactly what

[00:38:35] you're talking about.

[00:38:35] This was Clock

[00:38:36] Stoppers.

[00:38:37] Oh, that's the one.

[00:38:39] That's the one.

[00:38:40] Yeah, yeah.

[00:38:41] I couldn't tell you

[00:38:42] anything about it.

[00:38:43] I just remember the

[00:38:44] name.

[00:38:44] I don't think I actually

[00:38:45] watched it.

[00:38:46] It might be time to

[00:38:47] change that.

[00:38:48] I remember loving it,

[00:38:49] especially if you're into

[00:38:49] the whole time loop

[00:38:50] thing.

[00:38:51] It's fun.

[00:38:52] It's fun.

[00:38:52] I think it came out like

[00:38:53] 2001, 2002.

[00:38:54] Yeah, I'm not opposed.

[00:38:56] Hell yeah.

[00:38:57] Yeah.

[00:38:58] Well, perhaps an ironic

[00:39:00] blast to the past with

[00:39:01] that throwback discussion,

[00:39:03] but whatever.

[00:39:05] We featured a lot of

[00:39:06] stories about haunted

[00:39:08] locations, but the one

[00:39:09] you read this week by

[00:39:11] Spider on the Wall

[00:39:11] stands out to me.

[00:39:13] Yeah.

[00:39:13] It's not just the usual

[00:39:14] creaking doors or eerie

[00:39:16] feelings.

[00:39:17] Things really escalated in

[00:39:19] this one pretty quickly.

[00:39:20] Yeah.

[00:39:21] From nothing to

[00:39:22] footsteps charging at them

[00:39:24] and slamming the door.

[00:39:25] Yeah, yeah.

[00:39:26] It's like they poked this

[00:39:27] paranormal sleeping bear.

[00:39:29] The author even mentions

[00:39:31] that they used to go into

[00:39:33] the barn all the time

[00:39:34] without any issues, but

[00:39:35] the moment that they bring

[00:39:37] their cousins who are

[00:39:39] messing with stuff, it's

[00:39:41] like something snaps.

[00:39:42] Whatever was in there

[00:39:44] just didn't want to be

[00:39:45] disturbed and didn't like

[00:39:46] those cousins.

[00:39:47] Yeah, it feels like it's

[00:39:48] more than just a haunting.

[00:39:50] There's a difference between

[00:39:51] being the so-called

[00:39:53] harmless ghost that

[00:39:54] everyone seemed to

[00:39:55] believe helped the family

[00:39:57] and whatever malevolent

[00:39:58] thing they encountered

[00:39:59] in the barn.

[00:40:00] It makes me wonder if

[00:40:01] we're dealing with two

[00:40:02] entirely different

[00:40:04] entities, maybe.

[00:40:05] Well, there was this

[00:40:07] study in the 70s called

[00:40:08] the Philippe Experiment

[00:40:10] where researchers tried to

[00:40:12] create a ghost through

[00:40:15] I guess what they called

[00:40:16] collective focus in

[00:40:17] storytelling, according to

[00:40:19] what I found online.

[00:40:20] They actually started

[00:40:22] experiencing, you know,

[00:40:24] poltergeist activity, which

[00:40:25] suggests that emotional

[00:40:27] emotional or mental

[00:40:28] energy might influence

[00:40:30] these events.

[00:40:32] So it's possible that the

[00:40:33] cousin's behavior combined

[00:40:34] with, you know, the

[00:40:35] nighttime spooky setting,

[00:40:37] it acted as some kind of

[00:40:38] catalyst for whatever was

[00:40:39] already in the barn.

[00:40:41] Oh, I'm sure everything's a

[00:40:42] catalyst.

[00:40:44] I remember seeing a movie

[00:40:45] based on that study you're

[00:40:47] talking about.

[00:40:47] I don't even remember what

[00:40:48] you said, but that sounds so

[00:40:49] familiar.

[00:40:49] Yeah.

[00:40:50] It wasn't great, but it was

[00:40:52] an interesting concept.

[00:40:53] Yeah.

[00:40:54] Yeah.

[00:40:54] I think you're talking

[00:40:55] about the apparition.

[00:40:57] That's the one.

[00:40:58] Look at you.

[00:40:59] Two and two this episode.

[00:41:00] Yeah.

[00:41:01] I read about that one when I

[00:41:03] was looking into the Philippe

[00:41:04] Experiment.

[00:41:05] That's the only reason I know

[00:41:05] about it, but I haven't

[00:41:07] personally watched it.

[00:41:08] Oh, let me save you some

[00:41:09] time.

[00:41:11] I'll take your word for it.

[00:41:12] It doesn't look good.

[00:41:13] Yeah.

[00:41:14] No, no.

[00:41:15] But yeah, some good theories.

[00:41:16] Good theories.

[00:41:17] There's also the mother's

[00:41:18] religious beliefs, which

[00:41:19] always have an impact on

[00:41:20] people's interpretations or

[00:41:22] how things play out.

[00:41:24] Yeah.

[00:41:24] Yeah.

[00:41:24] It's another thinker of a

[00:41:25] story, I guess.

[00:41:27] A true classic.

[00:41:29] Yeah.

[00:41:29] Yeah.

[00:41:30] Well, speaking of classics,

[00:41:32] it might be too early to

[00:41:33] say, but I really enjoyed the

[00:41:35] story that took place in the

[00:41:36] Northeast by Kismet.

[00:41:38] I've always felt drawn to

[00:41:39] that whole region, but I

[00:41:40] still actually haven't been.

[00:41:41] Yeah.

[00:41:42] You got to go.

[00:41:43] Have you been?

[00:41:44] No, no.

[00:41:45] But you got to go.

[00:41:47] I mean, I'll be in upstate

[00:41:49] New York next week.

[00:41:50] So that's something pretty

[00:41:51] close.

[00:41:51] Yeah.

[00:41:52] Itching your way closer to

[00:41:53] Maine for sure.

[00:41:54] Yeah.

[00:41:55] What's the occasion?

[00:41:57] My services have been

[00:41:59] requested on the set of an

[00:42:00] upcoming horror film.

[00:42:02] That's all I can say.

[00:42:03] Oh, were they actually

[00:42:04] requested or did you harass a

[00:42:06] bunch of filmmakers until

[00:42:07] somebody said, yeah,

[00:42:09] something in between,

[00:42:10] actually.

[00:42:11] It was like, hey, cool

[00:42:13] podcast.

[00:42:13] And that turned into thanks

[00:42:15] cool movies.

[00:42:16] Let me know if you ever

[00:42:16] need some help.

[00:42:17] And here we are.

[00:42:18] Ah, OK.

[00:42:20] OK.

[00:42:20] That's nice.

[00:42:21] Yeah.

[00:42:21] So no empty gestures.

[00:42:23] No.

[00:42:24] Gotta love it.

[00:42:26] Try your best not to get

[00:42:27] catfished or killed, though,

[00:42:28] or anything like that.

[00:42:30] Yeah, that'd be annoying.

[00:42:31] Maybe just a good old

[00:42:32] fashioned kidnapping.

[00:42:34] Classic.

[00:42:34] Then I resurface however long

[00:42:36] later, leaving people with

[00:42:38] more questions and answers.

[00:42:39] Yeah.

[00:42:40] As much as I'd appreciate the

[00:42:41] let's not meet story arc,

[00:42:42] I really hope that you're not

[00:42:44] willing this into the

[00:42:46] universe.

[00:42:47] Nah, nah.

[00:42:48] I used to always need some

[00:42:50] sort of secondary reason to

[00:42:51] leave my house at all.

[00:42:52] So getting kidnapped would

[00:42:54] just set back all of the

[00:42:55] progress I've made not being

[00:42:57] a hermit.

[00:42:57] I'm going to try for that not

[00:42:58] to happen.

[00:42:59] I know exactly what you mean.

[00:43:01] I'm the same way.

[00:43:01] I typically need more than

[00:43:03] one reason to leave the

[00:43:04] house, but I do like going to

[00:43:06] the movies.

[00:43:07] That's I guess that's my one

[00:43:08] thing.

[00:43:09] That's a good thing to have.

[00:43:11] And if you hold out for a

[00:43:12] Tuesday or Wednesday

[00:43:13] matinee, you're usually

[00:43:14] pretty golden.

[00:43:15] Yeah, I usually go when the

[00:43:17] mood strikes me and I just

[00:43:18] hope that I don't get a bad

[00:43:20] audience, but I apparently

[00:43:22] never learn my lesson.

[00:43:23] I'm trying to avoid the

[00:43:24] weekends.

[00:43:25] Yeah, I swear some people go

[00:43:26] to the theater just to use

[00:43:28] those powered reclining seats

[00:43:30] as fidget spinners.

[00:43:32] Yeah, we went and saw Sonic

[00:43:34] 3 over the weekend, you

[00:43:35] know, on a Friday night.

[00:43:36] Great idea.

[00:43:37] Oh, wow.

[00:43:38] And there was just a bunch of

[00:43:39] kids sitting behind us and

[00:43:40] they were literally just up

[00:43:41] talking to each other,

[00:43:43] walking around, making all

[00:43:44] kinds of noise.

[00:43:45] But the fact that it was a

[00:43:47] kids movie and we were there

[00:43:48] with kids as well, my

[00:43:49] friend's kids came, it

[00:43:51] it almost negated the fact

[00:43:53] that they were being super

[00:43:54] annoying back there.

[00:43:55] It was like, ah, they're

[00:43:55] kids.

[00:43:56] They're just having fun and

[00:43:57] we're watching a kids movie

[00:43:58] and it actually turned out to

[00:43:59] be kind of fun because they

[00:44:01] would laugh so loud at the

[00:44:02] funny parts and the goofy

[00:44:03] stuff.

[00:44:04] So it actually added to it.

[00:44:06] Yeah.

[00:44:06] Yeah.

[00:44:06] No, I agree with that

[00:44:07] sentiment.

[00:44:08] If you're walking your dog

[00:44:09] out in the park and some

[00:44:10] skateboarding kids are

[00:44:11] rolling on by and scare your

[00:44:12] little chow, get over it.

[00:44:14] Let the kids skateboard.

[00:44:16] Exactly.

[00:44:16] I agree.

[00:44:17] I'm the same way.

[00:44:18] I got to stop being a

[00:44:19] grumpy old man and let kids

[00:44:20] be kids.

[00:44:20] But there is always one

[00:44:22] person in like a non-kids

[00:44:25] movie, like Dr.

[00:44:26] Evil spinning around in his

[00:44:27] chair for the entire movie.

[00:44:30] Oh, man.

[00:44:31] I really liked that.

[00:44:32] That second Austin Powers

[00:44:34] movie.

[00:44:34] Me too.

[00:44:35] All I asked for was a

[00:44:36] freaking rotating chair.

[00:44:37] Okay.

[00:44:40] Yeah.

[00:44:41] Just the constant on and

[00:44:43] off mechanical whirring

[00:44:44] sound.

[00:44:44] It's like a dentist taking

[00:44:46] two hours to fill a single

[00:44:47] cavity.

[00:44:48] I hate those chairs in the

[00:44:49] theaters.

[00:44:50] Like people, I feel like we

[00:44:51] don't, we don't deserve those

[00:44:52] anymore and we've ruined a

[00:44:53] good thing.

[00:44:54] Take them, take them away.

[00:44:55] Yeah.

[00:44:56] One of the three or four times

[00:44:57] I went to see Deadpool and

[00:44:58] Wolverine, somebody was

[00:44:59] making these micro adjustments

[00:45:01] to their seat for like 30

[00:45:03] minutes straight.

[00:45:05] And it, you know, of course

[00:45:06] they waited until after the

[00:45:08] movie started, but they were

[00:45:09] perfectly fine kicking their

[00:45:11] feet up and watching the

[00:45:12] previews, not a peep.

[00:45:13] Please tell me you got a

[00:45:14] good look at them.

[00:45:15] That solves everything.

[00:45:16] Yeah.

[00:45:17] I was just over there.

[00:45:18] Would you look at that?

[00:45:19] Would you look at that?

[00:45:21] Sometimes you just got to

[00:45:22] take a good look at it.

[00:45:23] Would you look at that?

[00:45:24] I love that guy.

[00:45:25] Yeah.

[00:45:26] Yeah.

[00:45:26] But yeah, you really do,

[00:45:27] you know, give ourselves

[00:45:29] closure however we can.

[00:45:30] Yeah, for sure.

[00:45:31] Like making eye contact with

[00:45:33] somebody you're indulging in a

[00:45:34] little road rage with.

[00:45:35] Exactly.

[00:45:36] I'll sometimes make up a

[00:45:38] stranger's entire life story in

[00:45:40] two seconds and come up with

[00:45:41] conclusions like, oh, honest

[00:45:43] mistake, I'm sure that they

[00:45:44] would never or even something

[00:45:46] like that was probably on me.

[00:45:47] My bad.

[00:45:48] Yeah.

[00:45:49] Yeah.

[00:45:49] When I glanced over at this

[00:45:50] person in the theater, I was

[00:45:52] basically expecting a kid.

[00:45:54] Yeah.

[00:45:54] But no, it was just some guy

[00:45:56] about our age just acting like

[00:45:58] a child.

[00:45:59] Acting a fool.

[00:46:00] Yeah.

[00:46:00] I would have had to resist the

[00:46:01] urge to let out some exaggerated

[00:46:03] sigh and be like, are you

[00:46:04] comfortable yet?

[00:46:05] Goldilocks.

[00:46:07] I wish.

[00:46:08] I don't know.

[00:46:08] You just never know what

[00:46:09] legitimate medical issues people

[00:46:11] might have, though.

[00:46:12] I know.

[00:46:13] That's the actual reason I

[00:46:14] never say anything.

[00:46:15] Yep.

[00:46:16] Maybe they have a weird thing

[00:46:17] with the circulation in their

[00:46:18] legs.

[00:46:18] I don't know.

[00:46:19] Yeah.

[00:46:19] It's good to show some grace,

[00:46:21] but what if they know what

[00:46:23] they're doing and they're

[00:46:25] fishing for conflict?

[00:46:26] You know, those people.

[00:46:27] Oh, all too well.

[00:46:29] All too well.

[00:46:29] Then you're really screwed.

[00:46:30] You're either suffering in

[00:46:32] silence or giving them exactly

[00:46:34] what they want by indulging.

[00:46:36] Mm-hmm.

[00:46:36] Or you could get it really

[00:46:37] wrong.

[00:46:37] Confront them while being a

[00:46:39] jerk about it, only for them

[00:46:40] to actually have a medical

[00:46:41] issue.

[00:46:42] Yeah.

[00:46:42] And for whatever reason,

[00:46:44] somebody three rows behind

[00:46:45] you filmed the entire

[00:46:46] interaction and put it online.

[00:46:48] Oh, of course.

[00:46:48] And it becomes their life

[00:46:49] mission to get you canceled

[00:46:51] for being such a heartless,

[00:46:53] what would it be?

[00:46:53] Ableist.

[00:46:54] Yeah.

[00:46:55] Yeah.

[00:46:55] They got me in my George

[00:46:56] Costanza moment.

[00:46:58] Yeah.

[00:46:58] Yeah.

[00:46:58] Yeah.

[00:46:59] So are we able to tie any of

[00:47:02] this back to the story that we

[00:47:03] haven't talked about yet?

[00:47:06] We always do.

[00:47:07] Kinda.

[00:47:08] Kinda.

[00:47:08] I like the comical, rough

[00:47:11] transitions.

[00:47:12] Yeah.

[00:47:12] It gives us that raw and

[00:47:14] unpolished street cred.

[00:47:15] It's almost like when news

[00:47:17] anchors don't transition from

[00:47:18] one segment to the next very

[00:47:20] smoothly.

[00:47:20] There's like no break, no

[00:47:21] change in anchor, just like a

[00:47:23] human wall of text.

[00:47:25] Oh yeah.

[00:47:26] In one breath, they're just

[00:47:27] like, and they were bludgeoned

[00:47:28] to death in their home.

[00:47:29] Enter now to win the new

[00:47:31] Disney on ice sweepstakes.

[00:47:34] Okay.

[00:47:35] Yeah.

[00:47:35] Moving on.

[00:47:36] Ask and ye shall eventually

[00:47:37] receive.

[00:47:39] On to Kismet's story of all the

[00:47:41] things that were going on.

[00:47:43] What I found interesting the most

[00:47:45] was the phone.

[00:47:46] I know, I know.

[00:47:47] They don't make them like they

[00:47:48] used to, but even on an old

[00:47:51] flip phone, it doesn't sound

[00:47:52] possible for it to still have a

[00:47:54] full charge.

[00:47:55] Plus, none of the calls went

[00:47:57] through.

[00:47:58] Yeah, and even with the off

[00:47:59] chance that there was something

[00:48:00] going on with the cell towers

[00:48:02] all week, and that battery in

[00:48:04] specific was some freak of nature

[00:48:06] off the manufacturing line.

[00:48:08] Yeah.

[00:48:08] The fact it was found tucked

[00:48:10] underneath the bed's fitted

[00:48:11] sheet, that's the most mind

[00:48:13] boggling thing to me.

[00:48:14] I can't make sense of that.

[00:48:15] Yeah, if you take out any

[00:48:17] paranormal explanations, that

[00:48:19] really only leaves two things.

[00:48:21] You're either losing your mind

[00:48:23] at that point, or somebody is

[00:48:25] playing a really, really bad

[00:48:27] joke on you.

[00:48:28] Yeah.

[00:48:29] I don't personally know the

[00:48:30] author, but that's not the gist

[00:48:32] I'm getting.

[00:48:33] Yeah, no, it's just completely

[00:48:35] puzzling.

[00:48:36] And the medication bottle.

[00:48:37] Like, what are the odds that a

[00:48:39] ghost, or whatever it was, steps

[00:48:42] in at just the right moment to

[00:48:43] stop a disaster?

[00:48:44] I know, right?

[00:48:46] And I really hope all these

[00:48:46] instances are with the same

[00:48:48] spirit, because if it's saving

[00:48:50] lives and acting as a sort of

[00:48:52] guardian angel, I guess, that

[00:48:54] would mean the stepfather's

[00:48:56] soda.

[00:48:57] Are you following?

[00:48:59] Yeah, it's also some diet-shaming

[00:49:01] poltergeist.

[00:49:02] Yes, yes.

[00:49:04] Or just showing some tough love.

[00:49:06] You and I have both had some

[00:49:07] Dr. Pepper season pass holders in

[00:49:10] our lives.

[00:49:11] Love them all the same.

[00:49:12] Oh yeah, yeah.

[00:49:13] Fair, fair.

[00:49:15] It's cool either way.

[00:49:16] A guardian angel or angels who

[00:49:19] couldn't resist messing with them a

[00:49:21] bit.

[00:49:21] It's like the miler balloon at the

[00:49:23] party.

[00:49:24] It's harmless, but just enough to

[00:49:26] say, hey, I'm here.

[00:49:27] Yeah, and that EVP saying their

[00:49:29] name, Kismet?

[00:49:31] That's a...

[00:49:31] Hmm.

[00:49:32] Yeah, it's so unique.

[00:49:33] It's not a very common name as far

[00:49:35] as I'm aware.

[00:49:36] And they said how clearly they heard

[00:49:38] it being spoken, too.

[00:49:40] Honestly, it's amazing that they

[00:49:42] stuck it out as long as they did,

[00:49:43] only for them to, you know, end up

[00:49:45] in an 1800s Victorian house.

[00:49:49] In the attic with three black hats.

[00:49:51] It's too perfect.

[00:49:53] Yeah, so far so good, though, it

[00:49:55] seems.

[00:49:56] Yeah, keep us posted.

[00:49:57] You know, if anything changes.

[00:50:00] Yeah, in that paranormal magnet of

[00:50:02] yours, stay safe.

[00:50:04] Peace out.

[00:50:05] Yeah.

[00:50:07] Yeah, well, I guess that's a good

[00:50:08] cue for us.
